Mr. Tobin is an associate attorney at Bennerotte & Associates. He is also a panel attorney for Criminal Defense Services, Inc., in Ramsey County. He is involved in establishing a low-income defense panel in Dakota County. He is an aggressive advocate for the rights of injured people and those charged with criminal offenses.
He grew up in Eau Claire, WI, and studied political science and Norwegian at Augsburg College in Minneapolis, MN. Prior to law school, he received a Fulbright Fellowship to study at the University of Oslo, Norway. Following law school, Mr. Tobin served as a judicial law clerk for the Honorable Robert A. Awsumb in Minnesota State District Court. He was also an associate attorney at Sawicki & Phelps, P.A.
Mr. Tobin has joined the firm with experience in personal injury and criminal defense. He has tried cases before juries, administrative courts, the Minnesota Court of Appeals, Immigration Court, and the Board of Immigration Appeals. He handles motor vehicle accidents, un/underinsured motorist claims, No-Fault insurance claims, food poisoning, dog bites, slip-and-falls, product liability, and premises liability. Mr. Tobin also handles professional negligence claims including medical, dental, and legal malpractice. In addition, he represents clients in criminal matters involving DWI/DUI (and Implied Consent), traffic, felony, gross misdemeanor, and misdemeanor charges.
